The Weather Chef: Banana Bread

Welcome to another segment of The Weather Chef.  We made it to segment two so that's probably a good sign we're going to keep on going.  Today we're going to do a recipe that's Banana Bread.  You're thinking, that's pretty plain, but this is a Granny-Approved Recipe from my Grandmother and Great Grandmother.  Once you get a taste of it, you're never going to want to touch another piece of banana bread ever again.
1 Stick of Margarine
1 Cup of Sugar
1 ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
¼ Cup Buttermilk (1/4 Cup Milk w/ 2 Tablespoons White Vinegar)
2 Eggs
2 Cups Flour
3 Large Bananas
½ teaspoon Vanilla
1) Preheat the Oven to 350 F.
2) With a mixer, blend together Margarine and Sugar.
3) Mix in Eggs and Bananas.
4) Add Flour and Vanilla then mix well.
5) In a separate bowl, mix together the buttermilk and baking soda.  If you don't have buttermilk, you can add two tablespoons of white vinegar to ¼ cup milk.
6) Once fluffy, add the buttermilk & soda mixture to the batter and gently mix with a spoon or spatula until liquid is absorbed.  Do not mix with an electric mixer.
7) Grease a bread pan and pour in the batter.
8) Bake for an hour or until a knife/toothpick comes out clean.  Let cool.
