The Celtic Cowboy Opens In Downtown Great Falls

Posted: Updated:

After years of planning and a few bumps along the way, a taste of Ireland has finally arrived in Great Falls.  The Celtic Cowboy has opened its doors and is ready to serve the Electric City.

The pub had its soft opening last Friday and plans a big grand opening during the Christmas Stroll this weekend.  The construction was part of a downtown restoration and the building is the oldest commercial spot in Great Falls.  The entire atmosphere of the pub comes from a very special Irish word meant to embody the spirit of community, Craic.

Most of the word work in the building comes from either Ireland, England or Calgary.  There is a full Irish-inspired food menu from an excellent chef and a line-up of beers, some brewed especially for the Celtic Cowboy.  Within the next year, a hotel will open above the pub.
