Rested Griz Prepare For Playoff Run

Posted: Updated:

Missoula, MT - After enjoying it's first bye week since September 7th, the Griz football team feels rested and ready to make a playoff run.

The Griz (10-2) will host Coastal Carolina (11-2) on Saturday at Washington-Grizzy Stadium. The Chanticleers defeated Bethune-Cookman in the first round of the FCS Playoffs, while 8th seeded Montana sat home and watched. Griz Head Coach Mick Delaney says last weekend's time away was a real treat for his weary team, and the rest should pay-off on Saturday.

"It could not have come at a better time for us really," Delaney says. "Had we had to play on Saturday, we would have been ready to play and play well, but I think it was just what the doctor ordered for the guys to be able to get out of here for 2-3 days and then come back and be focused and ready to go."

Kickoff in Missoula is scheduled for noon on Saturday.
