Griz Lose Season, 13 Seniors

Posted: Updated:

Not only did the Griz lose a good opportunity to extend their season and get back to championship form but they will also lose 13 seniors next year which will be a tough void to fill not only on the field but in the locker room from a leadership standpoint.

Seniors Jordan Tripp and Brock Coyle are among that Senior class and they will be missed.  Both men reflected on their career at Montana following the loss to Coastal Carolina.

Jordan Tripp, "I grew up here, I watched, and I did it. I was blessed enough to be able to come here with a scholarship and represent this place.  I'm sitting here right now and it's hit me and it hasn't hit me but I have no regrets here."

Brock Coyle, "I have brothers on this team I'll have for the rest of my life.  These are memories I'll have here for the rest of my life.  I love it here, I'm a Griz through and through.  And who knows, this team, people could look back and say this 2013 team is the team that brought Montana back. And now it's up to the rest of the guys to get this team further and further and back to the national championship because that's where this program needs to be and that's our expectation every year. I'm just proud to be apart of this place, it's special."

Montana finished the season at 10-3 overall and 0-1 in the playoffs.
