The Weather Chef: Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Posted: Updated:

Welcome back to another segment of The Weather Chef.  I'm Meteorologist Micah Rumsey showing you how to bake a very great cookie recipe.  Not only is it easy, it's fun.  The kids can do it.  The adults can do it.  Of course, I'm here in the Pizazz Performance Kitchen where we have all the best appliances, all the best gadgets to make the best possible food.

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

1 Cup Butter
1 ½ Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Tablespoons Vanilla
2 Cups Flour
2/3 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
¾ teaspoon Baking Soda
2 Cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation:

1) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

2) With a mixer, blend together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy.

3) Mix in flour, cocoa powder and baking soda.

4) Stir in chocolate chips.

5) On an ungreased cookie sheet, put golf ball sized amounts of mixture.

6) Bake 8-10 minutes and let cool completely.

Thanks for sticking with us.  You'll want to stick around for next time as I bring you a little bit of a challenge of a recipe.

To find these recipes, go to kfbb.com.  Under the features tab, there's a link to The Weather Chef.  And of course, we want you to try these at home, and my friend Hannah tried out our first recipe and sent in pictures of the delicious cupcakes.  Thanks Hannah! You can send your pictures to mrumsey@kfbb.com and I'll feature them during the segment.
