Yesterday, you may have noticed your favorite radio station had disappeared from the airways.  A busted pipe flooded the entire Central Montana Radio Network and covered the entire 2nd floor of the Rainbow building with 3-4 inches of water.

"We'll probably be a half million to a million dollars once it's all said and done with lost inventory and what happened to the building.  We don't know exactly what the final cost will be.  We're not really sure what carpet we're going to have to rip out, what kind of walling we'll have to replace, those kind of things," said Jim Sargent, KMON Sports/Ag Director.

The frozen sprinkler system burst above a studio while someone was working.  Fortunately, the employee wasn't injured and the stations are doing all they can to bring their product back to your radio.

"Our big goal here, of course, is to make sure we take care of our listeners.  We want to make sure we take care of our clients.  Get back up there, especially this time of year with Christmas just around the corner, MAGIE on 560 KMON just around the corner.  We want those listeners to know we're there.  We're fighting to get them back on the air," said Sargent.

Despite the destruction, the five stations impacted, Max Country, Big Sky Country, 92 Cool Rock n Roll, K99 and The River, have all received an outpouring of support from loyal listeners

"Thank you to everybody and their patience for being out there.  We had numerous phone calls, tremendous support, encouragement to get us back on the air and with the tremendous engineering staff that we have that have come in from throughout Central Montana and our corporation, we are working steadily to get back on air and we're fighting hard to get our listeners back on where they need to be because they need to get their day started off right and we hope we can do that," said Sargent.

Despite the initial grim prospects, the return time for your favorite stations may be music to your ears.
