Talented Bison Girls Still Work in Progress

Posted: Updated:

It was cardio day on Tuesday for the Great Falls High School girls basketball team. The talented Bison hope their game is in great shape when the season starts on Friday.

Greg Dart's team returns two starters and three more significant contributors from last years team which won the East before falling to Capital by two points in the AA State Semis. Dart says this years team is more talented than last years squad, but is still coming together and learning how to gel.

"I think we'll be pretty good. I think we'll definitely have some growing pains early on in the season. We play 2 very good teams out of the west in the first 2 weeks of the season, so we'll have a good measuring stick going into Christmas break and see how much work we have to do over the break before we get into our conference schedule," Dart says.

"We're excited. We've had quite a few weeks of practice, and that kind of gets a little slow, but it's good to get into games," Senior point guard Taylor Cumm adds.

The Bison open the season with an immediate chance for revenge, facing Capital in Helena on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
