GFHS Bison Boys Basketball Ready to Begin 2013-2014 Season

Posted: Updated:

The Great Falls High Boys basketball team will open it's season this Friday at Helena Capital. Last years team made the state tournament and the players on this year's squad describe themselves as young and undersized but with quickness lots of energy. The Bison have been working hard all off-season and are looking forward to getting the 2013-14 campaign underway on the road on Friday night.

"We're really excited to get going.  We spent a lot of time playing together this summer so we're excited to get going," said Lukas Vining, junior guard.

"I think we have the potential to be a pretty balanced team.  We got several kids who can put the ball in the basket which is good.  Weakness wise, will be experience, rebounding and height," said head coach Bob Howard.

Well, we can get out and run, get up the floor pretty good and we play good defense which we'll need against those bigger guys," said Jake Banach, senior guard.

The Argos will play at Helena Capital this Friday night at 7:30 PM.
