Kaleb Kuebler Sentenced to 75 Years For Rape of 11 Year Old Girl

"God forgive me, but please. You deserve everything and you need a lot of help. You really do," said the victim's mother at the sentencing Wednesday afternoon.

Kaleb Kuebler was given what his victim's family thought he deserved when he sentenced to 75 years in prison with ten years suspended for sexual intercourse without consent. Kuebler must also complete therapy for sexual offenders and pay restitution to the victim for any therapy she will require.

Kuebler had previously plead guilty to the rape of the victim, who was 11 years old when the crime occurred.

"He stalked and selected his victim because in his words she was wearing a pink jacket and that made him angry," said Honorable Judge Greg Pinski.

The victim had been walking home from school when Kuebler stole her hat. He then lured her into an alley where he assaulted her.

Victim mother said to Kuebler, "You hurt a little girl who did nothing to you. Nothing."

The sentencing became even more emotional when the victim gave her testimony with the support of her family in the front row of the courtroom and a Bugs Bunny doll.

"Do you think you will ever forget what happened to you that day?"

"I will never forget."

"Can you tell the court how this has affected your family?"

"We never thought this would happen to me. We thought I would be safe."

"Have you had problems feeling safe since this happened?"

"Yes."

"Is there anything else you want to tell the judge?"

"I want him to go away for a very long time."

The defense attempted to explain Kuebler's violent behavior by calling his grandmother to the stand to shed light on Kuebler's abusive mother.

"She was just cruel. I basically thought she was a sociopath," said Sandra Kuebler-Riggs, the defendant's grandmother.

Kuebler was also given the chance to speak before the sentence was handed down, and he interestingly chose to talk about jumping off the third floor of the courthouse on the way to plea hearing.

Kuebler said, "In a weird way my suicide, my attempted suicide was trying to make up for what I did."

Kuebler added that he will spend the rest of his life making up for his actions and was ready for his punishment.

"I will accept whatever sentence you give me without complaint," Kuebler added.

When the 75 year sentence was handed down, Kuebler simply hung his head before walking away with officers. The victim's family appeared relieved that justice had been served.
