A Substitute Teacher Makes Plea Agreement for Relationship with Student

Posted: Updated:

A former substitute teacher at Browning Middle School has reached a plea agreement, after being charged for having a sexual relationship with a student.

21-year-old Tyrell Lee Baldibardin was charged in October with three counts of sexual abuse of a minor. Charging documents say the sexual encounters occurred in March or April of this year.

According to prosecutors, he contacted the 14-year-old student via Facebook and occasionally stayed at her house while her parents were gone. Investigators have also found out that Balibardin attempted to have relationships with other female students, but there is no evidence those relationships were sexual.

The current plea agreement calls for Balibardin to plead guilty to at least one of the three counts.
