Great Falls Police Investigating Alleged Assault

Great Falls Police are now investigating a reported assault.  One man is custody after allegedly injuring two individuals with a knife.

According Great Falls Police, Theodore Edward Bear is in custody after an alleged assault was reported at the Med-X apartment building on 11th Avenue South.  Bear faces four felony charges.  One count of attempted deliberate homicide, elder abuse, aggravated assault, and tampering with evidence.

According to the Detective Sergeant on the case, Bear is accused of assaulting two family members with a weapon, which was confirmed to have been a knife.  The two alleged victims were in Benefis, but are expected to recover.  Their identities and ages have not been revealed.

Bear reportedly lived at the same residence as one of the victims.  Police say they were able to locate Bear thirty minutes after they were called.  Bear is expected to make an initial appearance in court tomorrow afternoon.  We will have more information as soon as it develops.
