Secret Santa Makes His Mark on Great Falls

Posted: Updated:

Why do we love this time of the year so much? No folks, its not for the presents, its the gift of giving. Its the good deeds. And one Secret Santa, here in Great Falls, is making it all happen at the Salvation Army. And its not just the people receiving these gifts that are feeling the magic. It's anyone involved.

Kathy Lamere, from the Salvation Army, explains, "We really enjoyed it. Making people happy. They're excited. They're surprised. They can't believe someone is doing good deeds."

You might be wondering, why is Secret Santa doing this? He doesn't know these people. They are strangers, but he says, "Our goal, besides experiencing the joy of this, is we are hoping to inspire other people to do random acts of kindness"

This is the third year he has done this, and it has been a lot of work. But luckily, he's had a ton of help, including secret elves and even sponsors that helped him gather close to a thousand dollars this year.

While giving was the name of the game for this Secret Santa, he says still has one message he wants you to know this holiday season, "All I want people to do is random acts of kindness, to inspire others, to help each other. That's it. Simple thing. There are Secret Santas all over the world. We just happen to be here in Great Falls." And of course, he also reminded me to say, Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.
