Governor Bullock Declares State of Energy Emergency

Posted: Updated:

Governor Steve Bullock has signed an Executive Order declaring a State of Energy Emergency and temporarily exempting certain carriers from hours of service to help meet fuel demands.

Due to extremely low inventories of petroleum products along with outages of propane and heating fuel, Governor Bullock issued an executive order. Drivers of delivery trucks are at this time are required to wait several hours at pipeline terminals across Montana and in neighboring states. This will cause delays in delivering products.

The shortages of petroleum products threatens the health, property, and welfare of Montanans, thus forcing Bullock to sign the order that started yesterday and goes through December 31st.
