Pro Pitching Coach and CMR Alum Hosts Baseball Camp

Posted: Updated:

CMR grad current pitching coach in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, Justin Meccage came back to great falls over the holidays to share "his message" to local baseball players.

Meccage held a 2 day baseball instructional camp here in Great Falls where youth and high school players had an opportunity to enhance their skills. The camp cost $55 dollars per player as they participated in multiple drills and were given professional instruction from Meccage and his staff. Meccage says that holding this camp is a special opportunity for him to come back to the Electric City where he is able to help young players learn the game.

"I enjoy coming back here and sharing some of the different experiences I've had and we actually had a very good turnout which is exciting. You don't get these opportunities very often in Great Falls especially in the middle of winter and I thought it would be a great opportunity to come back and give some information. We've had some great coaches help me out who have been a huge help and we've had a good time."

The camp was held at the Old Big R Building (4800 & 10th Ave S) where the Chargers practice.
