Local Family Raising Money for Woman Attacked in Nashville on NYE

Posted: Updated:

The family of a 24 year old woman, who was born in Great Falls, is raising money to help with her medical bills after she was assaulted during a new years party in Nashville, TN.

Krystle Smith was leaving a Nashville club on New Year's Eve when she and her friends were attacked and robbed by a group of unknown assailants. Smith was badly injured and left laying in the street with a broken leg, hip and hand. The breaks were so bad that Smith had surgery to insert multiple screws into her leg leaving her unable to walk -- much less go back work as a fitness instructor. In order to help with bills, Smith's family in Great Falls have set up a donation fund at First Interstate Bank.

"Donations for medical bills or anything. Anything can help and would be much appreciated," say family members, Ashley Harmon and Patti Roberts.

THe Ashley Harmon Donation Fund for Krystle Smith is set up at First Interstate Bank. Those looking to donate are to go to the bank and ask for Katrina Turk. The family adds that Krystle will be spending her 25th birthday in the hospital and say all donations for her recovery would make a wonderful birthday present for Smith, who has had a terrible start to the new year.
