Officials to Re-evaluate Search and Rescue Efforts for Missing Hiker

Posted: Updated:

Officials are planning what the next steps should be in the search for the hiker in Lewis and Clark County who was reported missing for over a month ago.

It has been confirmed through handwriting analysis that Dale Brownlow, age 52, was indeed staying at a Helena hotel before heading to the Helena National Forest. The Sheriff's Office in Lewis and Clark County plan to visit with experts on January 10th who specialize in locating missing people to help with the search.

Sheriff Leo Dutton is also working with Brownlow's mother and sister during the search and rescue process. Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to call the detectives division of the Lewis and Clark County Sheriffs Office.
