Bighorns Looking to Win 12th Straight Home Game

Posted: Updated:

The Helena Bighorns are the defending champs in the AWHL and are continuing their success this season as they are in first place and have only lost one regular season game all season.

The Bighorns will return to the Helena Ice Arena tomorrow night after spending the last three weeks on the road playing games in Las Vegas then enjoying holiday break. The Bighorns are strong no matter where they play but they have been unbeatable at home so far this year. Helena is 11-and-0 at home and will look to make it 12 straight against the Bozeman Ice Dogs tomorrow. Even with all their success, the team says they still have a lot to improve on despite their 26-1-1 record.

"There's always things that we can improve on. Our physicality always needs to be present in the 2nd half of our season. We need to be a big physical presence. A lot of teams try to come to our rink and try to bang us around. But we need to push back a little more for the 2nd half of the year," said Bighorns Forward, Dylan Webster.

You're always looking to get to that top level of your game. Whether it's hitting more, skating harder or making smarter plays, there's always a little something more you can do," said Goalie Alek Lazarski.

The Bighorns and Icedogs will drop the puck Saturday night at 7:35 pm.
