A scary incident for one local driver. At approximately 5pm, a grey Nissan SUV veered off of Giant Springs Road, causing the vehicle to slide into the Missouri River.
Highway Patrol responding to the vehicle heading east towards Black Eagle. Ambulances later arrived on the scene and were able to pull the driver out.
The unidentified driver was immediately taken to Benefis. Currently the condition of the driver is still unknown. Black Eagle Fire Chief Tom Martin confirming that only one individual was involved in the accident.
With no guard rails on the road, these sorts of incidents aren't uncommon during the winter season says one safety and rescue personnel. So be sure to take it slow in these sorts of driving conditions.
