Posted: Updated:

Showdown Mountain hosted their 8th annual Freeride into Freestyle challenge. People from all over Montana competed to be the number 1 skier or snowboarder at Showdown Mountain. The competition consist of two down hill runs and two trick runs over a few jumps. Showdown staff were very happy to see a great turnout for competitors at this years events.

"Their hitting the cliff behind us right below the triple chair and then we are headed to the park where A. J. Corslin and Jared Burton and numerous others will have been working tirelessly for the last couple of weeks getting it ready for us. We have a pretty good feature this year, it's a big jump so it's looking pretty good," explains Marketing Director, Charley Willett.

Competitors are being judged on speed in which they ran the course and by style of trick that they did on the trick portion.

It took Showdown staff nearly a month to ready the slopes for the free ride and free style competition.
