January is Higher Learning Month

Posted: Updated:

The month of January is a big month for two groups as Mayor Michael Winters will be signing two proclamations at tonight's City Commission meeting. At tonight's meeting Mayor Winters will read a proclamation proclaiming January as higher education month. A month that is dedicated to bringing student awareness to the benefits and importance of pursuing a higher form of learning through our local colleges and universities. Joining Mayor Winters tonight will be Doctor Susan Wolff, CEO and Dean at Great Falls College MSU to accept the proclamation on behalf of Great Falls higher learning institutes. The City Commission meeting will have a second proclamation read as the Mayor will also sign a proclamation recognizing the community efforts and hard work of the Great Falls chapter of the Walleyes Unlimited group.
