Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS -

Our Governor along with some of our top local business owners received some good news today here in Great Falls.

"We had our best year in 2013 than we have had in many, many years and we're very well poised to move into 2014 with strong momentum," explains Great Falls DevelopmenT Authority CEO, Brett Doney.

The city of great falls is starting off on the right foot in terms of job growth for the year 2014.

"The Front brewing company which is only a year and a half old is not able to keep up with the demand for their beer so they are building a new production facility in downtown Great falls," says Doney.

A huge proponent for job creation, governor Steve bullock, was very pleased with the information and say he sees great falls moving in the right direction for the new year.

"Proud of Great Falls, Proud to be here. I mean there is some real well not only pride of the town but energy as far as, as you look forward to continue to expand job opportunities for everybody," says Governor Bullock.

In the same day the Great Falls International Airport christened a new sign to honor the pride the electric city has in it's service men and women.

"It is and to Montana, we are so incredibly excited and proud to have this sign just let the Montana Air National Guard know how proud of them we are and to have them in our backyard here in Great Falls," says Montana Defense Association Chairman, David Weissman.

And good news just kept rolling in as CEO of the Great Falls Development Authority announced to a room full of local politicians, education and business officials that Great Falls has had a large growth in job market size.

"Well in 2013 employers in the Great Falls metro area created 600 new jobs. So we had 600 people working that we didn't have a year ago. we've set a goal of 1,000 jobs for 2014, I think we can do it,"

All in all according to GFDA officials the city of Great Falls is headed for a fantastic economic year in 2014.
