Posted: Updated:
DARBY -

Ravalli County Sheriff Chris Hoffman released the name of the victim in what he is calling "a domestic violence related murder/suicide which happened at a Lake Como Road residence north west of Darby late Sunday night or early Monday morning."

Hoffman identified the female victim as 50-year-old Holly Schick-Lewis, and said that she had been shot multiple times.

Hoffman identified the suspect as 53-year-old South Valley resident, Michael Charles Buckles, and said that Buckles died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot, and that his death appeared to have happened very shortly after Schick-Lewis was killed.

Sheriff Hoffman said Schick-Lewis's body was discovered by a visitor to the home, early in the afternoon on Monday, and that the visitor had left the residence and called 911. Deputies found Schick-Lewis in the kitchen of the home and Buckles was located in an adjacent bedroom.
