Emmert Inducted Into NAIA Hall of Fame

It wasn't a matter of if, just when Carroll College football great Tyler Emmert was going to be inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame. When, happened on Sunday night.

Emmert, a Helena Capital High School graduate, was enshrined at the 2014 NAIA Hall of Fame Banquet at the AmericanFootball Coaches Association (AFCA) Convention in Indianapolis, Ind. While it was just a 2-person induction class, it was impressive. Emmert was joined by Saint Francis head coach Kevin Donley, who has the most wins in NAIA history with 272. 

Below are Emmert's accomplishments as a 4-time National Champ while at Carroll.

Notable Accolades:

4-time First-team All-Frontier Conference Selection

3-time NAIA All-American

2-time National Player of the Year (03, 05)

3-time Frontier Conference Offensive MVP

2004 NAIA's A.O. Duer Award winner (given to the nation's top student athlete)

2005 National Football Foundations Scholar Athlete Award Winner (Draddy Award)

Tyler is the NAIA's Career Total Offense Leader with 13, 979 yards. Emmert accounted for 133 total touchdowns in his time at Carroll (110 passing, 23 rushing).

Additionally, Emmert is the first quarterback in college football history to finish a career with better than 70% completion percentage.
