Congressman Rehberg Announced No Return to Politics in 2014

Posted: Updated:

It was a big day for our former U.S. Representative Denny Rehberg who has officially decided on whether or not he will run for congress. The six term Congressman today announcing he will not be coming back to the politics in 2014.

Although earlier this month Rehberg said he was keeping the option open for a possible run for the U.S. House seat being vacated by Steve Daines for a Senate run, he today decided to opt out.  He gave up the seat to challenge Senator Jon Tester in 2012.  After a relatively close defeat in the 2012 elections, Rehberg then became co-chairman of a public strategy firm in Washington DC, and just this week, he and his wife opened the first Burger King franchise in his home town of Billings. The Montana Republican said he now wants to focus on family, friends, and business instead of campaigning.
