Attorney General Tim Fox Fights to Stop Human Trafficking

Posted: Updated:

I'm here at Helena College where the Helena Chapter Soroptimist International Club is screening a film for human trafficking with special guest Attorney General Tim Fox who launched a Human Trafficking Campaign in October.

Attorney General Tim Fox and the Department of Justice launched a Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign with a poster that would be labeled in rest stops around the state .

Here at Helena College Attorney General attended a public forum on the subject, in addition to watching a documentary on human trafficking called "Very Young Girls". This month is Human Trafficking Awareness Month and A.G. Fox is here to spread just that.

"Because it is affecting Montanans it is a world wide problem it is one of the largest criminal activities in the world second only to drug trafficking and it is the fastest growing criminal activity."

Now also for Human Trafficking Awareness Month Town Pump joined the Department of Justice in putting over 200 of these posters around the state.

SPOKANE, Wash. - The details surrounding the murder of Doug Carlile, 63, read like a hard boiled detective novel: business deals gone wrong, two-bit thugs in over their heads, murder for hire, and the lawless oil fields of North Dakota. But Spokane Police detectives say all of those elements, and more, played into Carlile's murder.
