Two Montana J.C. Penny Stores To Close By Early May

Retail giant J.C. Penny announcing they will be closing 33 stores nationwide that are underperorming, two of which are right here in Montana.

The Montana J.C. Penny closures will be at the Butte and Cut Bank locations, and will put a total of 50 people out work, 32 in Butte and 18 in Cut Bank. The company said the remaining inventory in the affected stores will be sold over the next several months, with final closings by early May. A total of 2,000 employees nationwide will be affected from the 33 J.C. Penny store closures.
