HELENA -

The Helena High Bengals played host to the Dillon Beavers in boys basketball.

After a back and forth affair in the first quarter Dillon led 20-12. Leading the way were Dillon's Troy Scott and Helena's Troy Arndston, both of whom hit a triple in the first.

The Bengals were able to close the gap going only down 27-21 at the half, but ultimately couldn't upset the Beavers, as Dillon went on to win 56-54.

ENTIAT, Wash. - A burn out operation is planned for Tuesday morning in an effort to establish a secure line in the bottom of the canyon where the Mills Canyon Fire is burning. Burning material rolling downhill and igniting spot fires on the north side of Swakane Canyon have caused concerns and indicate a vulnerability to a fire escape and repeatedly expose firefighters to very steep terrain and rolling material.
