Cheerleading Camp at CMR High School

Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS -

CMR got fired up with rustler spirit today when the High School invited community kids to a practice day with the CMR Cheerleading Squad. Grade schoolers are getting the full Cheerleader experience thanks to the CMR High Rustlers Cheerleaders.

"It's a good opportunity for the girls to see how it is to cheer at a big game," says Captain Brook Kervi.

Every year CMR invites kids grades Pre-K through 8th grade to practice with the high school Cheerleaders. CMR captains say they see a lot of kids return every year.

"They love it I mean they come back every year, Sadie has been doing it all of her life she's been at all the cheer camps and a lot of them have been too. we see them return they have shirts from last year and you know that they have been there so they obviously like it," says Kervi.

Devin Tingey is one little cheerleader that says she comes back for a chance to cheer with her friends

"Um because it's fun, because all my friends are there with me," says Tingey.

Not only is this a good way to connect CMR with the fans here in Great Falls but it also serves as a fund raiser the CMR Cheerleaders to go to the State Cheerleading Competition.

"Well again it teaches them about cheer it gives them the basic techniques they can see if they like it or not. and then it's just a big fundraiser for us," explains Kervi.
