15 Year-Old Whitefish Native Wins Silver at 2014 Winter X Games

Whitefish native and 15 year-old Maggie Voisin is a slopestyle skier who was recently nominated to compete as a member of the 2014 U.S. Olympic team in Sochi, Russia. While Voisin will surely be looking for gold in Sochi, she earned a silver medal earlier today in Aspen, Colorado at the 2014 Winter X Games.

The 15 year-old finished in 2nd place in the slopestyle skiing event with a best score of 90.0, coming up just short as Kaya Turski, the 25 year old from Canada finished in first with a best score of 91.3.

As far as the Olympics., the slopestyle skiing event is making its Olympic Games debut this year and if Voisin participates in the games she will be the youngest athlete on the U.S. Olympic roster.
