State Park Tourism Best Ever!

If you asked Southeast Montana Marketing Director, Nick Mann, he would tell you he has a lot of memories at pictograph park.

"You know I just think that people don't realize that the memories that are made at these state parks you know I think especially for children there's great educational opportunities," says Mann, adding that it would not  surprise him if the numbers continue to increase in the future.

"And now that were kind of getting out of the recession, you know the recession was several years ago and people are starting to have that disposable income again and they're really starting to travel more."

Montana Parks Division Manager, Doug Haberman, says 70% of all visitors are Montana residents.

Haberman says, "We have a lot of out-of-state visitors that are just amazed at the quality of our parks and love the real personal attention you get at our state parks. I mean our stAff will greet almost every visitor in every state park."

Haberman also says the state parks represents a cross section between culture, history and nature.
