Emergency Services Give Free Health Screenings

Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS -

The Great Falls Emergency Service was at Albertsons with EMT students from Great Falls College MSU to give out free public health screenings.

"Great Falls Emergency Service is providing health care screening for any of the public free of charge today we are doing blood pressure monitoring with some of the students," explains EMT, Roger Fleek.

Not only are the Great Falls Emergency Services giving free screenings but they are also collecting donations for children.

"Also our number 1 cause here today is the Food Bank for the elementary schools. we're providing for 3 schools today and taking food donations and monitory donations," says Fleek.

EMT and College Professor Roger Fleek says the real important part is not the field experience for the students or the screening but helping out kids in need.

"I'm told that 1 out of every 10 students, they go to bed hungry. They get their 2 meals at school and have no dinner and so we are hoping to build that food bank up for them," says Fleek.

Fleek says they will be continuing the screenings tomorrow morning at Albertsons.

"It's good to always be on your health for the health screenings it's always good to be up on that kind of stuff," says Fleek.
