The manhunt for two Montanan's has ended with one getting "justifiably" rammed by patrol car and the other dead.

Edward Wallace and Sara Jo Johnson were suspects in a Butte robbery where they reportedly stole coins and guns.

On January 3rd, they were found in Lincoln City, Oregon, where police say Wallace aimed a gun at a deputy. That's when a trooper smashed the car into Wallace and law enforcement officers had a 5 hour standoff with Johnson, which turned fatal when she shot herself.

Although a controversial case, a prosecutor has determined that the state trooper was justified in using his patrol car to ram the fugitive. .

Wallace has since pleaded not guilty in Montana to his theft and robbery charges.
