Great Falls Gets Some Tax Help

Posted: Updated:

Here was a high turnout of people during the second ever Super Saturday tax help event hosted by Rural Dynamic Incorporated. Today Rural Dynamics Inc. Held their 2nd Super Saturday tax help for individuals with household income of $50,000 or less.

"Well today were at Tax Help Montana and it's having a Super Saturday where we have all kinds of vendors here in the addition to helping people get their taxes done for free," explains Karen Heisler.

This year RDI partnered up with more organizations to help folks navigate the new health care web site.

"So you can come in and get your taxes done for free and you can also stop downstairs and sign up for health care, you can get your FSAFA filed, you can learn more about child care assistance or low income energy assistants all in one stop," says Heisler.

Danielle Skinner is one resident who is glad RDI is there to provide a little help come tax season.

"I really can't afford to pay somebody to do my taxes so for them to have a free service is really great. I just go to work and pay bills that's what I do, you know I don't know anything about taxes. It's nice to have people to help you," Says Skinner.

Helping out RDI is the students from the Americorps program who say this year they have seen a pretty good flow of people.

"Today has been very smooth, it is one of our smoothest days I would say for sure," says Sabrina Bourizk with Americorps.

Even if you missed today's Super Saturday RDI officials say you can still contact Rural Dynamics Incorporated to get pointed in the right direction when you are in need of help.
