Senators Walsh and Tester Named to Committees

Senators Jon Tester and John Walsh both announcing that they have been appointed to positions in several Senate Committees, this coming just two days after Walsh was sworn in to serve the rest of Max Baucus's term.

Senator Tester has been named as the new Chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee.  He has served on the committee for seven years and he says that he will address many issues that affect the community, and the main focus will be on improving schools on reservations.

Senator Walsh has been appointed to four committees.  He will be a part of The Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee; The Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee; The Rules and Administration Committee; and the Special Committee on Aging.
