Project Linus Blanket Bee

Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS -

Several volunteers are getting together to make blankets for kids who are going through a crisis or are sick in the hospital. Project Linus is holding it's blanket bee, it's a day where volunteers use teamwork to make as many blankets for children as they possibly can. While around twenty people came out to help today, Project Linus coordinators say they receive more help from outside the organization.

"You know we have like 20 or 30 who show up on a monthly basis, but we have so many who help from their homes. We have school groups, kids who help. It's a number I can't actually give you because it just comes from so many different directions, we don't see them all here," says Gina Loss.

Project Linus officials say that anyone can join and make a blanket so if anyone would like to donate a blanket they made they can drop it off at Big Sky Quilts in downtown Great Falls.
