Simms and Simms-Augusta Make History Entering Divisional

Posted: Updated:

The Simms boys are making their second straight trip to divisionals and will play their first round game against Highwood, who finished 2nd in the 8C tournament. The tigers upset CJI by a point en route to defeating Power in the title game. Last year marked the school's first trip to divisionals since joining class C in 2006. The Tigers are poised to make a deeper run at divisionals after an early exit in 2013.

As for the Simms-Augusta girls, they will be making their first trip to the Northern C divisionals since becoming a class C school as the top seed from 10C. The girls reached divisionals after knocking off the league's regular season number one team CJI in the finals last Saturday in Conrad. The Tigers will face Fort Benton on Thursday at 12:30 in the opening round at the Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls. The girls are happy with making history, but they want more.
