CMR Remembers Samantha Sipes

Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS -

The identity of yesterday's fatal car crash victim was revealed as Samantha Sipes, a senior at CMR High School. Today students honored her life and paid their respects.

Samantha clearly had an impact on everyone around her. In her remembrance, students at CMR consoled each other as they sang, posted signs, said prayers, and wore purple, her favorite color.

The color purple won't just be worn today. Students all around the community are showing their support tonight at the big playoff game, including Great Falls High School.

The Vernon family has taken their efforts one step further, by creating a fund in her name to help support Samantha's family.

The students ended their day sharing stories about Samantha and talking to her for the last time. Balloons of closure covered the sky. Each one with a note for her containing warm wishes and final good byes.
