Box Elder Wins Class C State Title, End Season 26-0

Posted: Updated:

The Box Elder Bears have done it. The Bears completed their perfect 26-0 season Saturday night, capping it off with a Class C State Championship.

The Bears blew out the Westby/Genora MonDak Thunder, winning 74-54. Box Elder has beaten their opponents by wide margins all season long and there wasn't really any question on who the best Class C boys team in the state was. For the first time in 24 years the Box Elder Bears are Class C State Champions.

Jeremy MacDonald, Box Elder Head Coach, "I just feel great for these guys to see the smile on their faces and the smile on the fans. It's an amazing feeling and experience to be apart of this."

Randall Gardipee,"it feels good. It hasn't been done in Box Elder in 24 years and I always told all the guys around I was going to be the next state champ and I'm a state champ."

Thomas Parisian, "it feels great. I'm glad I can bring this back to my community - me and my fellow seniors. It's our last year, we went out with a bang 26-0. I'm proud of my entire team. I'm going to thank them all for getting me this far in my senior year."
