Helena Bighorns Set for Playoffs

Posted: Updated:

On Saturday night the Helena Bighorns put a close to what was yet another spectacular regular season beating the Bozeman Icedogs 4-1. Finishing with a 46-1-1 for the season, this is a team loaded with veterans that know their roles and how to win games.

"We've got a great leadership core. I've never really seen on a team before like at this caliber," said Sam Bratten, Bighorns Forward.

"Having those guys return obviously you know they've been there before and we actually picked up a couple of other veterans from some other teams so they obviously have some experience as well. But you know you can't buy experience you just have to have it," Scott Cunningham, Bighorns Head Coach.

The Bighorns certainly have experience against their first round playoff match up in billings. They swept the bulls in all their matchups but are still preparing for a fight. We got to play our game.

"We can't get tied up in their type of game and stuff. I mean Billings has one plan and that's dump the puck in and try and hit you every chance you get and so far we've come out on top so we'll just continue it," said Corbin Belling, Bighorns Forward.

I think we got more skill than they do. We'll be ready to go. As long as we come out to play we'll definitely be on top.
