Great Falls Man Arrested for Seventh Partner Family Member Assault Charge

Posted: Updated:

A Great Falls man, with a prior history of six partner family member assault convictions, was arrested Sunday afternoon on multiple charges including a new charge of partner family member assault, according the Great Falls police department.

A woman made a call to police Sunday afternoon asking for help, and over the phone police say they heard a disturbance. They quickly responded to the apartment located at 118 9th Street South, but when they arrived no one would answer the door.

Police say they could still hear the woman asking for help on the emergency call but they say Gary Dale Bradley, age 56 of Great Falls, was fighting with the woman refusing to let her come to the door. Bradley also took the phone from the woman and destroyed it to keep her from continuing to call for help.

At that time, police forced their way inside the apartment where they were able to get the woman out safely.

Bradley was taken into custody on charges of partner family member assault, unlawful restraint, destruction and tampering of a communication device and probation violation.

On Monday, Bradley will make an appearance on these charges in the Cascade County courthouse. He is currently being held at the detention center without bond.
