Carroll Announces Head Coach Finalists for Softball and Men's Soccer

With Carroll College's recent sport additions, the search for a head men's soccer coach and a head softball coach has intensified as final candidate interviews are taking place on campus this week.

Five finalists have emerged for the men's soccer head coaching job: (in alphabetical order) Jim Barlow, Vijay Dias, Doug Mello, Dave Poggi, and Josh Pittman.

For the softball head coaching position, three finalists will come to Carroll College: Aaron Jackson, Ben Lipson and Jami Penner.

Vijay Dias is the candidate with the strongest local ties. Dias won a State Championship with Capital High School. He also won a NCAA National Championship with Indiana as a player and coach.

Community forums are taking place Monday-Friday at Carroll College in the Trinity Hall Lounge.

The schedule is as follows:

Monday : 4 p.m. Vijay Dias (Soccer)

4:45 p.m. Jami Penner (Softball)

Tuesday: 4 p.m. Jim Barlow (Soccer)

Wednesday: 4 p.m. Josh Pittman (Soccer)

4:45 p.m. Aaron Jackson (Softball)

Thursday: 4 p.m. Dave Poggi (Soccer)

Friday: 4 p.m. Doug Mello (Soccer)

4:45 p.m. Ben Lipson (Softball)

    Paul Joseph Laverdure is charged with aggravated assault after her is accused of beating a man.
