4 Firefighters Promoted to Captain

Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS -

The city of Great Falls is honoring four firefighters today as they are promoted to the rank of Captain. Great Falls Fire Rescue has promoted Mike Kuntz, Brandon Jaraczeski, Dave Bleskin and Adam Marsh to the ranks of Captain. A ceremony was held in front of peers, co-workers and family members to honor these four men on their achievement. It takes years for a Firefighter to become Fire Captain.

"Well we're going to have a pinning ceremony for 4 brand new captains. This pinning ceremony is just a way of honoring them of their hard work and in achieving that particular grade and it's kind of recognizing them with their families here. We think that's important because their families are as much a part of promotion as their work environment is," says Assistant Fire Chief, Steve Hester.

During the ceremony as it is custom that the family of the promoted Firefighter gets to pin their new badge and pins that signify their new rank as Captain.
