Jury Selection Continues in Eskew Trial

Posted: Updated:

Jury selection continuing today in the deliberate homicide trial for Jasmine Nicole Eskew.

The pool of potential jurors began the afternoon session today with fifty-four still eligible.  All parties involved have been working to get the jury down to twelve individuals and three alternates.  The trial is expected to take anywhere from eight to nine days according to Judge Dirk Sandefur.

Eskew is facing the deliberate homicide charge after the death of her six month old daughter, in which Eskew is accused of shaking her to where the toddler died of effects of a subdural hemotoma.

Parties are hopeful that opening arguments can still take place during the day tomorrow.  We will keep you posted on any new information that may develop.
