The University of Great Falls is celebrating a new grant that will help boost it's technology library. The University of Great Falls welcomes in a brand new technological learning environment for the students of any major.

"Today we're dedicating a high tech cutting edge classroom, that we were able to build on campus through generosity of the Jorgensen and Wylder those families gave a gift of $100,000 to the University of Great Falls," says University President Eugene McAllister.

The Jorgensen and Wylder Technonlgy classroom is located in a room in the library donated by Frances Jorgensen, the mother of the newest donators to the university.

"I really feel it's great, in my generation we never had a classroom that was all glass windows that's like learning in a goldfish bowl, but I guess with the new technologies that they have that they were demonstrating in there that this is a newest way of doing things and it's better for education," says Bob Jorgensen.

The students have already gotten a chance to fully work with the new classroom and are enjoying all of it's educational value.

"For our projects and stuff they are able to display them on the board so that everybody could see them," says student Jocelyn Kaufman.

"Our students tell us they go into the classroom when there are no classes in it just to work together to use the technology," explains, President McAllister.

Classes in the new room will feature all of the state of the art computer learning tools including laptops and full Internet access.
