GREAT FALLS -

The Great Falls Ice Plex inviting members of the community today to work with some of the electric city's top skaters. During it's first ever community day community members got a chance to learn from some expert skaters in several skating workshops. Community day is a fundraiser put on by the folks at the Ice Plex to both raise awareness of the Ice Plex's existence and to help raise money for up keep during the summer months when the Ice Plex is not in operation.

"We're here at the Ice Plex just to keep the Ice Plex running. It's going to close during the summer and it's going to open back up. There is A good amount of money that's been saved up, I mean anything helps, but the turn out's pretty good and a good amount of money," says Volunteer Michael Carrete.

The Ice Plex will be hosting a figure skating show next weekend on Saturday the 29th at 3 and 6 PM. It will be one of the last shows of the year before the Ice Plex closes for the summer time.
