My Neighbor in Need Turns Two

Posted: Updated:

My neighbor in need was started by Dave Snuggs in March of 2012 with the goal of helping 200 people a goal he has already surpassed.

"And now in our second year we just helped our 2,100 person so I'm just blown away by the response," said Dave Snuggs, founder of My Neighbor in Need.

Along with the number of people helped, the past two years have seen My Neighbor in need expand, obtaining a presence in 30 cities in two states, with each location run by various charity groups

"The group in Lewistown are being run by RSP they volunteer through them the group in Teton county are run through neighbors helping neighbors and the group in Wisconsin actually came to us and said we love the idea how do we get it in Wisconsin," says Snuggs.

Snuggs says the biggest obstacle is the amount of people who want My Neighbor in Need in their community but also there is no shortage of people willing to give.

"But what I've learned in two years is that people want to help they just want to know where the money is going and how its being used," said Snuggs.
