The state's Block Management Program is opening up millions of acres in land for access to hunting.
Through the program, landowners will agree to open their property to hunters in exchange for FWP services and fees to help cover any damages to properties.
A recent state audit though is turning up some problems with the program. One of the issues is will landowners receive compensation for hunting access to land that the state purchased for conservation easements.
FWP officials say improvements can be made but they will defend the program and how it will overall operate.
