Last Day to Sign Up for ObamaCare

Posted: Updated:

The deadline to sign up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act is looming only a few hours away.

The rush of people signing up on this last day caused the problematic website to glitch Monday morning sending out an error message, but all the problems now seem to be fixed. When working, experts claim the application process is fairly easy.

"The application is very simple. All they ask is how many people are in your tax household and approximately how much you think you are going to make in 2014. That's really all they ask," said

All those trying to sign up have until midnight Monday to get the process started or else they will be facing fines for not being insured.

Although, a new loophole that was added to the Affordable Care Act last week allows all those on the waiting list to apply by tonight will have a weeklong grace period to finish the application process.

This new delay has many republican leaders outraged.

Rep. John Boehner, Speaker of the House exclaimed, "What the hell is this a joke?"

But of course, this deadline is a major moment for the Obama administration, and the White House is reporting that they expect seven million Americans to be signed up by the deadline.
