State Officials Warn of Potential Floods

Posted: Updated:

The Montana Department of Emergency Service is reminding residents to take caution when it comes to rapidly rising creeks, streams, and rivers across the state.

Authorities are saying that with expected warm weather this coming week, increases in the possibilities of flooding to occur are possible with above average snow pack conditions.

Residents in low-lying areas are prone to flooding near creeks, streams, and rivers, and need to be prepared for the possibility.

People can call their county or Tribal Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator for more information on specific hazards to their area.
