GREAT FALLS -

The University of Great Falls is celebrating some new inductions to their Argos Hall of Fame. Tonight is the annual advancing the Argos Main Event auction and award dinner event, a night that means a lot to University of Great Falls sports.

"Oh it's a big one like this week, we could not stop talking about it, because we know that all the important people will turn up from great falls and will be here," says Student Speaker Rodrigo De Souza.

"I think it's really cool that we get to interact with all of our sponsors and get to show them what we are offering and you know make a good representation of who we are,"adds Student Speaker Emily Schall.

"And they had it when I was coaching here and it's an awesome event. It brings community people together to meet with the athletes to find out what the philosophies and visions of the school are," answers Hall of Fame Inductee, Steve Aggers.

One of the most excited folks in the McLaughlin center is Rodrigo de Souza, a sophomore soccer player from Brazil, who gets the honor of being the first person in many categories tonight.

"for me it's pretty exciting, because they all told me that I'm the first international speaker in this event. And also I'm the first sophomore, because it's usually senior and so they have more experience so and I'm the only sophomore speaking I'm pretty excited for that yeah,"

The University of Great Falls athletic department also uses this event to usher in 3 deserving candidates from Argo Athletes past into the Hall of Fame. One of which this year is former men's Basketball head coach at the University, Steve Aggers.

"It's just nice I feel honored to be in esteemed company with Bill Giaoulias and Pius Lynch, so that and the previous inductees so I'm very honored to be a part of it," says Aggers.

The Main Event also acts as a fund raiser for the athletic program as folks who attend buy tickets to get in and bid in auctions all to help fund Argo sports.
